The National Campus Leadership Council is excited to welcome Valencia Warren as the new Program and Operations Fellow, thrusting the organization forward in developing and maintaining the operational systems, processes, and policies for the organization.
In her new role, Valencia will establish best financial practices, oversee fiscal operations, and work towards the long-term goal of operational excellence at NCLC.
Valencia is a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received her Master of Business Administration degree. As a former two-term Executive Vice President for Student Government at Georgia Southern University, Valencia was responsible for governing the operations of the Statesboro campus. Through Student Government, she served as the co-chair of the Consolidation Taskforce where she was instrumental in developing the post-consolidation organization structure across three campuses. She also authored and advocated for a multi-page resolution to address the disparity in experiences for minority students across campus. As a result, the university made several reparations to address the concerns.
During her time at Georgia Southern, Valencia also served as the Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Statesboro, where she was responsible for researching and developing plans in collaboration with the City Manager to bring transportation to the city.
Valencia truly enjoys her work, but her greatest joy rests in ensuring that the appropriate structures are in place for students to recognize their value and be heard. In her free time, Valencia enjoys obsessing over owls and exploring her brand new home.
