The National Campus Leadership Council is seeking two professionals to join the team this summer. We are hiring a Recruitment Specialist to help us exceed our event recruitment goals and a Database Consultant to restructure our internal databases.

The role of the recruitment specialist would be to work with the Communications and Outreach Manager to ensure all attendance goals are achieved and to make sure that our leaders know the value in participating. This Specialist will be responsible for increasing attendance at NCLC events by proactively reaching out over the phone and email to raise awareness of events, provide a concierge registration experience and assist in all event-related registration questions.

The database consultant will set up NCLC’s data storage and retrieval system, develop back up systems, and identify confidential storage solutions.

Recruitment Specialist

About You

You love connecting with people on a personal level. In this position, understanding the mission of NCLC is critical, so you are equally invested in sharing this with other leaders. You are self-motivated and enjoy exceeding your goals. You understand the value in student voice and are passionate in ensuring that leaders have the tools for success.

Ideally, you have:

  • Personal experience in student leadership (Preferred)
  • Previous NCLC event experience (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of collegiate experience (Marketing, PR, or other related major preferred)

Key Responsibilities

The ultimate objective of this position is to meet our program attendance goals. To achieve this objective, the Specialist will:

  1. Fully execute the attendee recruitment plan for each NCLC event including the Presidential Leadership Summit and CampusCon Tour.
  2. Conduct telemarketing campaign to contact all members, past attendees, and targeted lists.
  3. Manage attendee recruitment database and update with new contact information etc.
  4. Proactively reaches out to upgrade existing attendees to event add-ons, encourage group registrations, and provides concierge assistance to all attendees.
  5. Provide weekly activity and results reports to the Communications and Outreach Manager.
  6. Make proactive calls to prospective attendees to encourage event sign up and to make them aware of NCLC and all of its resources.
  7. Maintains a perpetually current understanding of NCLC mission, vision, values, direction, goals, events and activities through ongoing review of website and assimilation of information provide through internal memos and communications.
  8. Protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Database Consultant

About You

You are highly organized (Because it’s so important, we are mentioning it twice). You have a strong understanding of how to organize systems and implement the use of them. You are driven and need little supervision to accomplish a task. You work at a quick pace, but are intentional about quality control. You align with our organization’s mission and are passionate about making sure that we have good systems in place so that we can focus more energy on elevating student voice.

Ideally, you have:

  • Personal experience in student leadership
  • Previous NCLC event experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level experience in Excel is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of collegiate experience (IT, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related major preferred)

Key Responsibilities

The ultimate objective of this position is to meet our program attendance goals. To achieve this objective, the Specialist will:

  1. Analyze and recommend database improvements
  2. Improve the effectiveness of the database tools and services such as Google Drive and DropBox
  3. Communicate regularly with the Deputy Director as changes are being made
  4. Ensures that information is backed-up, secured, and protected
  5. Develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the use of the updated systems
  6. Train staff on the use of the updated systems
