The Student Voice Index
How do you measure student voice? The Student Voice Index is focused on understanding student voice in institutional decision-making. Using metrics of access, role, empowerment, and influence, we examine the perspective of student body presidents at over 300 institutions. This mixed-methods research uses survey and case study data to highlight the current landscape for student leaders in higher education decision-making and sparks ideas to strengthen student voices.
The Case for Student-Led Higher Ed Policy
Student stories have influenced higher education policy and decision making for decades. But in today’s contentious higher education landscape, bridging growing ideological divides and achieving results requires student voice and student action. In this session, higher education experts and students will make the case for a student-led higher education policy movement, exploring how student voice has lead to meaningful change and how student advocacy can change hearts, minds, and policy.
Voting ends on Friday, August 23. Be sure to vote for our submissions before the end of the month and share our PanelPicker links with your SGA, friends, and family!
